Quasistationarity of dynamic modes in cyclic mechanisms forming rheonomic oscillating systems with a lattice structure

Abstract

For cyclic mechanisms forming together with the main shaft and actuating device multisection oscillating systems with slowly changing parameters and lattice structure, the quasistationarity conditions were studied upon which natural frequencies keep a permanent value through the whole kinematic cycle. The influence of the gyroscopic components of disturbances appearing in cyclic mechanisms due to the nonstationarity of constraints is analyzed. The corrected conditions of the dynamic stability taking into account quasistationarity are obtained.

Iosif Vulfson,  Dr.of Sci., Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation. Born in 1931 in Riga (Latvia). After graduating from the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute, he worked as an engineer in the design offices of  printing machines and machine-tool industry (1956-1963). Since 1963  he  teaches  at the St. Petersburg State University of Technology and Design. From 1991 to 2004 he headed the Department of Theory of mechanisms and machines. A member of the editorial board of several scientific journals. Authored  over 550 scientific publications on the problems of mechanics of machines and the theory of vibrations, including 11 monographs (published in Russia, Germany and  US), two handbooks and 12 textbooks.
