Abstract
A time modulated radio frequency (RF) plasma jet operated with an Ar mixture is investigated bymeasuring the electron density and electron temperature using Thomson scattering. Themeasurements have been performed spatially resolved for two different electrodeconfigurations and as a function of the plasma dissipated power and air concentration admixed to the Ar. Time resolved measurements of electron densities and temperatures during the RF cycle and after plasma power switch-off are presented. Furthermore, the influence of theplasma on the air entrainment into the effluent is studied using Raman scattering.
