Abstract

The results of a structural calculation of the cooling of the wide and narrow walls of the industrial continuous-casting mold with a specified value of the heat transfer coefficient with condensation of the coolant vapor are given. A check of the use of copper and steel for production of the mold and condenser was made. A description of the full-scale electrically heated mode of the mold wall is given to study heat transfer with given values of the heat flow density. The relation of the heat flow with the cooling parameters is defined. The novelty is proved by the patent on the method of cooling of the mold, mold model and the model of the device for metal cooling.
