Abstract

Push rod failures at early stage are one of the critical issues for the mining heavy dump trucks. The finite element analysis (FEA) model of the dumptruck chassis frame was presented. The static, modal and response spectrum analysis for the FEA model was conducted with ANSYS. The results of FEA analysis closely coincided with the actual pushrodfailure.
